  • The Russian space program, especially Soyuz, has had a VERY long history of total failure. A number of years ago the private Planetary Society launched a solar sail named "Cosmos". It never had a chance to even get to orbit as the Russian rocket it was riding crashed.

  • Congressional cowardice. Again. That the debt ceiling would be raised was 90% sure. Two things determine this deal's worth: 1) does it just kick the can down the road? Yes. 2) Does it confront cutting the all-encompassing entitlements and address tax increases (or tax loophole closing)? No.

  • There are many reasons not to do this. We are not the world's policeman. There is no such thing as a limited war. How do we choose who to help? Pres. Obama did not explain all this. But still the caring American came through.
